A CNN investigation has uncovered what is believed to be one of the most violent incidents in Darfur's history, when the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and its allied militias gunned down fleeing families, shooting them as they drowned and summarily executing them in the desert, in a massacre that unfolded over the course of a single day on June 15.
